you need to switch Islam with Zionism... Zionism is more leftist and, oddly enough, I feel Islam is more right-wing... the fundamentalist misogynist thing... plus You already know what I think about comparing Socialism to Communism...

Well the way I see it, the islamist countries tend to all stick together with each other, almost like a union, and the fact that the left-wing here in america tends to go easier on them than the right.

And given that Zionism is a form of nationalism and is an ideology focused on realism, security and national success, I see that it goes more along with the right-wing (look to my spectrum)

Hmmm, never thought about it like that... makes sense though. I guess I never fell for the Islamo-sympathy even when I considered myself to be more of a left-winger during Bush's rein of lunacy... plus I am big 9/11 skeptic. I was never sympathetic but for the fact that we never should've been there in the 1st place and our and Israel's aggressions against them seemed to not only be unwarranted but also unbalanced, intrusive and brutal towards civilians. I sympathize more with their women and children than anything else. But leftists sympathize with zionists, jews and israel more than conservatives... after all- most conservative groups tend to have less-than-savory words for Jews if you haven't noticed. my point was on the secular / fundamentalist thing. Most jews are secular in their beliefs and islamics tend to be more fundamentalist in their views. However, the primary difference between Shiites and Sunnis in that Shiites like Bin Laden and the Taliban and other extremist groups is that the take the word of the religion seriously- they are fundamentalists. Where-as Saddam, Iraq and his crowd are more Secular in their beliefs... Catholics, Baptists, & Born-Again Evengelicals are Christian Fundamentalists. Where-as all forms of Protestantism are Secular.

It's weird. Certainly something to debate about and I don't believe my interpretation of it is an objective one, but I do see zionism as being right-wing and islamism as being left-wing.

However, I've noticed the left-wing going much easier on islamism and the muslims than the jews and zionism. In fact, I've seen a lot of criticism against zionism by left-wing liberals, anarchists, socialists, etc. As for the thing about conservative groups, I've only seen that with the nazis and radical religious groups that are socially and radically conservative, but not the kind of conservative people think of, the tea party/fox news type conservative. I have seen more secularism with the jews however. Perhaps their ties with Bolshevism had something to do with it.

Oh ya, well, I was going to add matter-of-factly that the fundamentalist jews are the hacidics (sp?)  and most of them are not very stern on their beliefs... on that note: funny stuff I just remembered:

There are fundamentalists in every group. Even atheism houses some objectivist, discriminatory bigots. EbolaBear is a good example
